Hythe Art Society 2026

The society exhibition is on from the 25th August to 31st August 2026 at the Tin Tabernacle in Hythe. I will be in attendance at various times, but all afternoon on the 29th if you have any questions.

I have 5 new exciting works on display this year. Each has new artistic design features. Here they are, so you can see what they look like in case you can’t get to see them in person.

They are all painted with the same intention – to make you think!

Meanwhile

Meanwhile explores the contrast between fleeting human presence and the quiet permanence of the built environment.

Three Quarters

Three contrasting views of the Quarterhouse in Folkestone , featuring the building itself, the inside structures of the building and the other side of the street in reflection. They can all be seen together from just one viewpoint.

This painting was created to coincide with the move of Folkestone Art Society to this new exhibition venue. It’s being shown in Hythe for the first time before the 8th September opening in Folkestone.

Imperial Alignment.🔴* 🎨

This was based on a chance find during my evening walk. The moon, Venus and the IKEA star all line up to set the scene for this graphic image which I then designed in perfect balance.I am putting this into the exhibition as an affordable art experiment, so that anyone can afford one of my original pieces. My hope is that someone interested will call their own judgement as to whether they should buy it. If someone loves the image, but can easily afford it, I will reproduce another original for them and to their own custom size requirements to make it even more perfect for them. With hope, they will leave this one behind for a genuine person to buy who wouldn’t normally be able to afford my original artwork. I hope people will understand this concept of getting something better than they initially imagined while contributing to someone else’s enjoyment who would otherwise not have been able to afford it. *Although the first copy has now been sold, I will keep this £99 offer open to anyone that likes this painting. The resulting pictures could become related like sisters!320mm x 320mm including the frame.

I hope you enjoy this exhibition and my new work. I welcome your thoughts and feedback, so do send me a message to: ronmarshart@gmail.com. I am very grateful, and reply to every comment.
